This is the second time in my voting history that I’ve participated in flipping a red seat in Alabama for Democrats (the previous time being my beloved Doug Jones) so it’s always funny to see people turn around and say voting doesn’t matter when I’ve seen it twice in the past ten years flip seats in what is supposed to be safe Republican country. Republicans are digging their own grave with their radicalization and it is making them lose (and with your help we can make them lose harder). Vote.
Vote. If yours didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be trying so hard to make sure you couldn’t do it.
Democrats outnumber Republicans in the US.
Democrats outnumber Republicans in several “red” states - the Rs just work very hard to keep them from voting.
In “red” states, every Democratic vote matters, even if they don’t win; it proves support, and it makes the Rs nervous about pushing their agenda. (And in states where there is also voting on laws, the public can block some of their agenda even without voting in a Democratic governor or majority in their legislature.)
In “blue” states, Democratic votes help remind everyone that we outnumber them, and help push the Overton window to the left.
If voting didn’t matter, nobody would be wasting money trying to convince you not to.

Day 30 - Grown Up
Hi, welcome to ✨ Kitty makes everything more complicated for herself ✨
I have an ongoing Sims 3 save with the Lyoko Warriors living their lives as adults, and I could not resist the temptation to share it!
Odd currently works as a musician, living with his boyfriend Grady, their recently adopted daughter Ilaria (name provided by the lovely @cosmicpines), and dog Bamango (Kiwi is not with us on account of me forgetting to make him oops.)
William is doing very well for himself as a firefighter, recently making it to the top of the career, pictured with two of his co-workers.
Yumi and Ulrich are happily married, with their twin daughters Aimi (the brunette) and Hoshiko (who has albinism). Yumi is also expecting their second set of twins (that has been born during the drawing process).
Aelita and Jeremie are also married with a mini army that I am terrified may only grow larger if I do not keep a watchful eye on them lol. Waldo is their oldest, with twins (I promise I am not doing anything all of my sims just keep having twins) Alan and Maya, and baby Aster!
And if you excuse me, I have one more day to do.

I have mixed feelings about Aelitas backstory and her coming to the human world, but I am a fan of how it lends itself to analyzing the trope of this ‘dream girl’ that has limited contact with the outside world and then… suddenly she is in the outside world. And can have interests and learn things you don’t tell her. You are no longer the only people she knows. I think it’s interesting.

1) any happy type of fix-it (everybody lives nobody dies, that sort of stuff)
2) angsty and sad. prepare to get emotionally wrecked
This “there are 2 wolves fighting inside of me” usually happens with fanfiction but like. Whould you pick “Anthea was never kidnaped and Hopper’s family lives all together on Lyoko” or “Aelita is absolutely depressed after the death of her father”? Because I have options
